I actually watched that special as well. It was very humbeling. They just KNEW their design was an improcment. I aslo thought it amazing that one of the biggest problems they had was that they simply no longer had "The skills" to carve the colid Bow arm out of one piece of wood. They just didnt know anyone that could do something like that anymore.

I bit of a lost art I suppose.

Anyway, how did you like the glider?? I couldnt blame the woman for not wanting to fly it.

As much as I wanted this information, it was not to be had. My source, which was a 2 hour PBS special, produced no leads. I was unable to find out anything on the PBS site, which was disappointing because I wanted to find out more myself. PBS usually does repeats sometime in the season, so check your local listing.

Now if someone will just convince the world that the ancient Egyptians didn’t need aliens to build the pyramids, but where to find a team of 20,000+ volunteers. ;-)
