DamnInteresting.com Makes Yahoo! Picks

We’ve been so busy that we hadn’t even noticed, but it turns out that DamnInteresting.com was featured as the Yahoo! Pick for April 6th, 2006. In the few intervening days, we’ve managed to make it onto their Most Popular list, where we’re currently sitting at #4, just under PostSecret. It’s so tingly… and this time I’m pretty sure it isn’t just the dandruff shampoo.

Thanks everybody, you guys are the swellest. I certainly can’t take all of the credit, as I am only one-seventh of our writing team.

Thanks also to those who have donated, which helps us stay online without any ads despite the high traffic.

I also want to thank my momma, and Elvis.

#14 ballaerina 10 April 2006 at 11:35 pm

Congratulations! You deserve it, 100%, for living up to your name.

I remember finding this site in December and I ended up staying up reading all the articles from 11pm until 6:30 in the morning. I couldn’t get enough, and then I was thrilled to see how often you update!

#15 USNSPARKS 10 April 2006 at 11:36 pm

Alan, would any of those others possibly be in need of a boyfriend? Daniel Lew might be interested.
(I didn’t go to that link BUT if there’s a babe that likes single old retired USN radiomen I’ll be right over.)
What can we do to get you up to #1? Log on a LOT? Donno where I found out about you, probably a link from one of the few sites I visit.

MyName, Passwords? Who remembers PW’s ???????? Go get RoboForm and never have to worry again

http://www.roboform.com/

It has IE AND Firefox taskbars also. Two clicks and Shazaam you are logged onto ANY site that requires
a PW. Order stuff online? Two clicks and huge forms are filled out in the blink of an eye! The freebie version works with 10 or less PWs, from their web site otherwise it’s a 30 day trial period. I’ve been a Pro user for ages and LOVE it. It constantly get’s terrific reviews from the “experts”. All data is encrypted on your HD and I go a step further at save it all on a Zip disk which RF accesses when needed.

(the above as been an unpaid recommendation by a VERY happy user)

I got here from Yahoo’s weekly picks. I have to say that this site is the best one they’ve listed; it’s fascinating. Keep up the good work.

#17 samk 11 April 2006 at 02:31 pm

I’m still reading through from the beginning. I started maybe January or February or March or something, and I read it whenever I can (not that often, but now that school’s out I have a lot of free time).

At this point I don’t even remember how I found the site, but it’s awesome. Keep it up!
