i don't know how true those claims are, but ghosts/spirits, they DO exist, and sometimes they DO want to make contact.
Personally i think the equipment pick up stray signals, but you never know :)"[/quote]

ANSWER: This who thing is mysterious until a simple explaination is found. This particular century is recording devices. 200 years ago it was certain music instruments.

Come on computer people. I thought you where smarter. What's the Estimated year for understanding this real occurance. It won't be glamerous like discovering god and saying hello to ghosts. But, you will your answer and then as history shows you will say oh well I thought it was the dead trying to talk. Have a piece of pie and then invent a new method and say I hear dead people.

A) hardware records in anomolous ways. It isnt all sensed accurately.

B) one needs multiple models with identical recordings to prove any of this is more than hardware artifacts

C) one needs both pure analog and pure digital records to determine if it is simply an artifact of compression algorythm, hardware funk, or speaker funk.

I dont know about the rest of you, but if its audible noise then its broadcasted not just ghosted onto a piece of medium. Multiple recorders would pick up the sound as best as it could. Then you have to isolate the frequencies its comming in at and determine what devices/living things push stuff into that frequency.

Then you have to break down exactly what defines "words". If you take any group of sounds and string them together, it could be a word in some language with some significance to the listener. The likeliness is very high for this to happen in my opinion. Plus you need to realise people hear what they want to hear, as well as what they are expecting to hear. Give someone static and tell them its static and they will come away likely hearing just static. Give someone that same static and tell them voices are hidden in it, and they could probably pick apart a voice speaking in 80 different langauges, all of which are simultaneously ordering pizza.

I followed the link provided at the bottom of the article, taking me to the "Best of" page. I can honestly say I haven't laughed that much in a long time! From a distorted "Hi" to a " You're safer back with Pete", I am not sure what I was expecting when I first clicked the link, but surely nothing like this. If this is what is being received from the netherworld, goodbye Sunday comedy night and Hello EVP Everyday!! Now, I am not downing EVP purely because of these hilarious sound clips, in fact, not downing EVP at all, just thought that I should send a heads up to all who fancy a little chuckle at the expense of the so-called "dead".

Marius said: "I looked into this 'phenomenon' when that movie came out earlier this year, and I'm not convinced. Even if we accept that these recordings were made in the manner presented (a fact of which I am dubious), electronic devices are bombarded with numerous stray signals, from VHF transmissions from across the globe, to cosmic background radiation (yes, the atmosphere and Earth's EM field do deflect the dangerous radiation, but plenty of low power stuff gets through), and as a former Air Force communications technician I can tell you that radio signals get very strangely distorted during their journey across the planet. I also get very skeptical when one must 'train your ear' in order to hear the 'voices'. It reminds me of the backward masking baloney from the 80's, when religious fanatics were claiming to hear all kinds of things in rock albums when played backwards. As for the photographic evidence, again assuming that they are genuine and not photoshop skullduggery, there are numerous explainations for them that don't require ectoplasm. Camera lenses are notorious for picking up stray light and refracting it in wierd ways. And a misty form in a window could just be condensation on a cool morning. As, I believe, Carl Sagan put it, extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof."

I used to feel like that, untill this happened to me:

and on the movie "white noise"

i don't know how true those claims are, but ghosts/spirits, they DO exist, and sometimes they DO want to make contact.
Personally i think the equipment pick up stray signals, but you never know :)
