Nobody yet has recognised the "Back to the Future" reference? Just throw in a banana peel or maybe a soda can and, Bob's your uncle, nuclear energy. But to get to eighty-eight miles per hour, the thing still runs on ordinary gasoline.

Don't fart near the machine. "It was a small energy igniter that became a dirty bomb when that fat ass farted.

If you *were* a huge Futurama fan then you'd know that the creators of Futurama used the name Farnsworth based on this person (as the inventor of TV :-) ).

I found one of your articles Bryan! I stumbled across this site again (since you had mentioned it to me years ago) and I've been reading articles occasionally. I think of you when I read it and I hope all is well with you.

FYI, Shiva is the Hindu god of destruction, not a goddess.
Interesting article, though.

I've been so busy working on site updates that I hadn't had a chance to read this until today... this is awesome. A lot of intruiging fusion-related stuff going on these days.

Fascinating. I have been laboring under the assumption that any fusion produced huge amounts of energy and heat, and was as elusive today as twenty years ago. Thanks for this eye-opening start to the week. (although, thanks to being a huge Futurama fan I have trouble taking anything seriously that was invented by someone named Farnsworth) ;-)
