If you *were* a huge Futurama fan then you’d know that the creators of Futurama used the name Farnsworth based on this person (as the inventor of TV :-) ).

Fascinating. I have been laboring under the assumption that any fusion produced huge amounts of energy and heat, and was as elusive today as twenty years ago. Thanks for this eye-opening start to the week. (although, thanks to being a huge Futurama fan I have trouble taking anything seriously that was invented by someone named Farnsworth) ;-)
