Wow, sounds like someone didn’t get enough love as a child.

And I’m not convinced that there is no link between portrayals of violence in the various media and enactments of violence in the real world. That’s not to say I’m in favour of censorship, but I do think violent environments breed violent people.

People must be allowed to make their own mistakes and make informed decisions. However, some people are predisposed towards violent reactions, and violent media do harm in such cases.

Then again, I grew up reading The Beano, and I still have violent urges.

I see that ADif.Viewpoint and Jeremy have posted twice, and with the exception of the above 5 quotes everyone else has posted only once.

This seems to have become an uncomfortable pattern. The second best thing about this site DI!, is the pleasurable exploration of knowledge. The comfort of asking a “stupid” question or poseing a odd idea or viewpoint with out hateful censure or insulting remarks towards ones lack of knowledge, curiosity, or willingness to learn more.

Even the most outrageous or implausable shared thoughts and ideas have been answered with genteel chuckles and clear answers as to the poster’s question or theory.

May I be so bold as to suggest that flamers be banned from DI!?
Personaly I do not find any of manicdepressions posts or comments interesting at all and somewhat disturbing in a WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU?!! sort of way.
