Jason Salavon creates some interesting images using his “digital averaging” technique, and perhaps the most engrossing is his work entitled “Every Playboy Centerfold, 1988-1997.”
As the artist describes it:
“this photograph is the result of digitally averaging every Playboy centerfold foldout for the 10 years beginning Jan. 1988 through Dec. 1997. The shroud-like image is yielded by a simple, custom process: point-by-point mathematical averaging. No special “morphing” is used.”
Not to worry, the resulting image is safe for work. Browse around the site for other interesting examples, but a few are borderline for certain audiences, so watch your step.

Umm… i don’t get it.
I don’t get it either…
The dude takes one image and places another image over it, repeat, repeat. What you get is a combination off all of the images. If you have Picasa, there is a tool that will let you do it with your own images.
Considering how airbrushed and phony Playboy photos already look, I’m surprised this technique didn’t generate a crystal clear image of a plastic-looking woman with no moles or body hair.
